TeachersTech.ie provides digital tools that help Irish primary teachers prepare and generate inspection-ready classroom documentation, including Cuntas Míosúil reports.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your information in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Acts 2018–2023.
2. What information we collect
We collect only the information necessary to deliver our service:

We do not collect pupil names or any special-category (sensitive) data.
3. How we use your information
- To generate your requested document (via Make automation + OpenAI API + Google Docs).
- To send you your access code and finished Cuntas Míosúil file.
- To process payments securely through Stripe.
- To provide support and respond to your queries.
- To maintain website security and performance.
We will never sell or rent your data.
4. Lawful basis for processing
Our processing is based on:
- Contract: to provide the service you purchase.
- Consent: for cookies/analytics (via the cookie banner).
- Legal obligation: to maintain financial records for taxation.
5. Who we share your data with (processors)
We use reputable service providers that comply with GDPR:

Each processor only accesses the minimum data needed to perform its function.
6. Data storage and retention
- Codes and form entries: stored securely in Google Sheets for up to 12 months then deleted.
- Generated documents: retained for 60 days for resend requests, then permanently removed.
- Emails and support requests: kept for administrative records (max 12 months).
- Payment records: kept for 6 years as required by Irish tax law.
7. Data security
- SSL encryption on all pages.
- Access restricted to authorised personnel only.
- All processors use encryption and two-factor authentication.
- Regular security updates and backups.
8. International transfers
Some processors (e.g. Google, OpenAI, Cloudflare) may transfer limited data outside the EU.
All such transfers are protected under EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
9. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access a copy of your data.
- Correct inaccuracies.
- Request erasure (“right to be forgotten”).
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Data portability.
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland): dataprotection.ie.
